JE8086 emulates the Roland JP-8000 and JP-8080. The easiest way to install and update it is the TUS Plugin Manager; the Installation Guide explains it, and where the ROM goes.

Performance test

Find out whether your computer is fast enough before you install. Unpack it, put the firmware into the same folder and run jeTestConsole on its own. It plays the factory demo song. A result of 100% means that you can most likely run one instance of the emulator per CPU core, 200% two, and so on. Leave room for your DAW and your other plugins: this is an estimate, not a promise.
